Gene Kim

College & Missions Pastor

Gene has been serving at Eastmont since 2013. Gene was born and raised in Georgia. He holds a B.A. in Religion from the College of William and Mary and a Master of Divinity from Beeson Divinity School. He is currently working on his Doctor of Ministry from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Before Eastmont, he served as the Pastor of Children and Youth at a church in Birmingham. Gene and his wife, Melissa, were married in 2007. Melissa works as a Speech-Language Pathologist and she also teaches as an Adjunct Professor at Faulkner University. They have three sons, Caleb (2013), and twins Amos and Asher (2016). Gene’s passion is to see others embrace the calling God has placed upon their lives in proclaiming the Gospel to the ends of the earth. Outside of his time at church, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and all things Georgia.
