Preschool/Children's Ministry Mission Statement:
Partnering with parents to reach and teach children in such a way that they have the greatest opportunity to become growing responsible followers of Christ.
Eastmont believes children are important! The first weeks, months, and years of life are absolutely crucial in a child's development.The importance of these early years cannot be overestimated. The future of our world lies in establishing strong spiritual foundations for our children. Our children's ministry is committed to teaching biblical truths to even the youngest child on their level of understanding.
WEEKLY MINISTRIES

Sunday School Sundays 9:20 a.m. Babies - 5 years
Our Preschool Sunday School curriculum is activity-oriented, Bible-based and child-centered. Preschoolers may select from several activity choices which support the Bible story and we teach using Bible thoughts. Preschoolers are assigned to a care group with a leader who will stay in touch with a leader who will stay in touch with and pray for your preschooler.

ETC Sundays 8:10 a.m. & 10:30 a.m. Babies - 5 years
Extended Teaching Care involves caring for and teaching preschoolers during the worship service.

Preschool TeamKID Sundays 5 p.m. 3 - 5 years (March - August) High-energy fun and Bible learning for preschoolers.

|
Preschool Choirs Sunday 5 p.m. 3 - 5 years
Preschoolers enjoy music education as they learn to worship God through music.

| Mission Friends Wednesdays 6:30 p.m. Babies - 5 years
Missions education including activity time, clean-up and group time. |

Parent/Baby Dedication Once a quarter parents are invited to participate in a dedication ceremony which is part of the Sunday morning worship service.

Summer Activities
A variety of fun events and trips are planned for preschoolers to have fun and enjoy being with friends.

Mother's Day Out & Kindergarten
9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. with optional weekday programs.

Big Church Class
Believing that setting the example and teaching our children to worship is a parental privilege and responsibility, children are encouraged to worship during the worship hour with their parents when they promote to the 5 year old class. In August, a Big Church class is provided to prepare children for Worship. Parents are given literature to help with this transition.

Vacation Bible School July
For Bible School we pull out al the stops!! This is a great week of fun with atmosphere, music, activities, crafts, worship and craziness!

Trunk or Treat October
This is a fun Fall family event when treats and prizes are given out of car trunks followed by a soup/sandwich meal and devotion!

| Christmas Festival December
This is a fun-filled festival with food, game booths, prizes, entertainment, activities, etc., all highlighting the true meaning of Christmas.

Security System
Silent pagers and security cards are used to provide maximum security for our preschoolers and peace of mind for parents. All preschool/children volunteers are screened through Protect My Ministry services.

| Safety and Hygiene
Toys - In young preschool departments, where toys may be mouthed, they are sanitized after each use.
